There’s one thing you should know about our Luvme family… we LOVE to eat!

Today on the Journal Craig (Mr. Luvme) will be sharing his mouth-watering, secret recipe for Smashed Avo. He’s known around town for this recipe and loves to make smashed avo for his family and also for the staff here at Luvme. It’s not your standard smashed avo; it’s so light, fresh and tangy! There’s a secret ingredient… mint sauce! Trust us, it’s delish!




5 medium avocados

1 juicy lemon

Large handful of fresh mint

1/4 cup of bottled mint sauce

100-200 grams of Danish feta (We love feta so we add 200 grams)

Loaf of local, quality sourdough

Balsamic glaze (optional)




Step 1

Open avocados and add them to a large bowl. Lightly mash.


Step 2

Juice the lemon and add to the bowl.


Step 3

Stir in mint sauce.


Step 4

Finely dice mint and add to the bowl.


Step 5

Crumble feta and fold it into the avocado mixture.


Step 6

Sprinkle with salt and cracked pepper to taste (we love Herbamere herbed salt—it takes it to a new level).


Step 7

This next bit makes all the difference…. Craig butters both sides of the sourdough and toasts on a sandwich press.


Step 8

Once nicely toasted, add smashed avo to sourdough.



Finally, top with fresh mint and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Enjoooyyy!
